I'm also getting annoyed by this barrage of really bad linkbait, especially on "how to blog" sites. Does anyone really need 100 more articles, each day, on how to write a blog post?

One of the problems I have with people who work in the social media space is that they use it simply to boost their own ego. It’s time for some tough love, creating linkbait in the SEO social media space is like joining in an incestuous circle jerking link orgy. While there is some content that has value, 95% of the work is meaningless for any thing other than self satisfaction.

It's not a howto on writing a blog post, it's a howto primer on SEO. Everyone thinks they know SEO. Maybe they do, but a client is not going to read it. Because they won't understand it! What they will understand is proof. Show me what you have done, don't tell me what you can do.
