How to Build Your Own 'Link Exchange' Page

To ramp up our link exchange strategies with similar sites, where is the best place to post their reciprocal links.

Most of the real estate on active site pages are for paid advertisers, but I know if we found a better way to incorporate an exchange/related resource page we would be able to make a better move in our search results.

Do I simply add a "resources" link in my footer which then provides a listing of all links or is that seen as a bad move? Curious how to best implement this, while not blasting my pages with links everywhere.

adding a "resources page" at the footer should be the best method. usually we label it as "links" as our link exchange page ,categorize it, add page for "link to us" and the contact information on which you can request for a links

Should I limit the amount of links on this page?

keep it to 20 links per page....
you can make it more pages it will boost your saturation..
and back links fromyour own pages

That will be just fine. And it will be good to see if you will
put limitations of links in your site. It's not the number that
counts it's the quality of the sites linked with your page.

make a section for your list of links or limit your links when you want it to be shown together with the page.

for not considering that your site doing unethical action.. " LINK FARM" - i think its better to limit it..

You can also put "contact us" on your site. On this page, you could put your email or a form like the picture below to enable to review it first and check out the quality of the site that wants to link to you before you add them to your site.
