Am I a good Search Engine Optimizer?

Hi Guys,

I've been working on SEO for few months and now it's showing some results. I've secured my place in the 1st page on google.co.uk - for keywords like business promotion, free gift, business promotion directory, and 2nd page for employee incentives for my online multimedia business directory.

What you think about my achievements ... your honest comments will give me a huge inspiration.

hey man, how's it going? Im no expert by a long shot, but i noticed you only have 4 backlinks... not sure how u got ranked on the first page in google with only 4 links.

Maybe i'm not looking at the right site? The one in your sig is where I went.

Good for you then but it would be better if the traffic that your are getting from those keywords are converting into sales for your site

There are many factors why a site ranks, it's does not only depends on the backlinks, one factor can would be his site has quality content, he did a good on-page optimization or he links to quality sites related to his site!

Actually, whether there are only 4 backlinks, the main point there was the quality of the site of those 4 backlinks his site was connected. But off course, the more quality sites that are connected to you the better.

To rank keywords in the top 100 is a good achievement for me. the achievements as seo optimizer does not stop from keyword ranking but continue with the promotion , link building and how to generate sales for the site.

And you must always be updated with SE's algo so you will know what changes or if what you are doing still works or not.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words.

The war (SEPR) is not finished, it's just the beginning. Everyday I work at least 2 hours for link building, keyword searching etc.

Did you use the link: at Google?

If that so, even he has only 4 backlinks it doesn't mean he has no or he has few backlinks.

^^ Actually I used smartpagerank, which counts all backlinks (i think)...

That is very good achievement. Nice work. Free Gift is a Good Keyword.

Free Gift is really a nice keyword, I think that u are really good, So u must be getting lots of traffic from Google uk. !

Hi Hasan, that's a good result for free gift. Now get it 'above the fold' - i.e. on the first page so you can see it without having to scroll down.

Hasan, i'm curious as to what you did regarding link building strategy. How many backlinks to you have?

Mostly I've used 1 way link building, so that SE cannot find that I've exchanged my link
I always try to change the text here and there
I've been using my link in different forums with keywords
Instead of promoting only my site, I've promoted my other sites as well and all are linked.

Google shows I've only 8 backlinks, but www.backlinkwatch.com shows I've around 440+ backlinks.

In my own way of thinking your good on being in the 1st page in google and as what mentioned above you do not stop from keyword ranking instead you must have to do some more step and process because seo is continuous learning

If your website comes on top ranking and your website getting huge traffic and you get inquiries and conversion then you are a SEO
