Women's vs Womens as far as SEO is concerned

One of the products I sell is women’s boots. I’d like the groups opinion of which term I should focus my SEO efforts on, “women’s boots” or "womens boots”. I know one is grammatically incorrect but which is more common. What are the affects of having a comma in meta tags and URL’s? Opinions?

Google shows that 'women's' is more popular and more grammatically correct.

I don't think you can have apostrophes in URLs. I would try to focus on having
' women's ' in the text and womens in the URL. It looks much cleaner.

You could use keyword tools if you are deciding what will be your target keywords/phrases. Here is my post on the other thread wherein I provided some sites that offers free keyword tools. http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/...tml#post732497

Apostrophe in keyword might cause problem when are displayed in a browser. It is not necessary to include apostrophes or hypens in keyword and google do not allow characters in keywords.

Base on my experience and I can suggest that you must focus more on
"women's boots".

Regarding the url it is better if you will use the one without
apostrophe but your target keyword is the one with apostrophe!

comma in meta tags and URL’s?

The most common method is separating each word or phrase by a comma because many experts contend that the search engines ignore the commas. So by eliminating them, you can include more words in the tag.

I think using apostrophes in URL is not advisable....Google as well as other leading SE's did not release any statement wether apostrophe is safe to use in URL.

I agree o this..."women's" as your keyword and "womens" for your URL.

From my suggestion, Go only for a correct word which is grammatically correct and useful to visitors. That would only help. Incorrect keywords are not useful and even not good to visitors points of view.
