What is Keyword abuse?
I have been learning about different ways of SEO techniques in the forum...and somebody mentioned that we shud be careful abt how many times we are including our targetted keywords in our content and when we overdo with this we will be blacklisted for keyword abuse by google.
Is there any specific number that we shud not exceed......I mean how exactly we know that we are not getting into keyword abuse?

Keyword abuse
Quote:
Writing articles for the Internet, whether as an effective method of bringing attention to your product or service, is quite different from writing articles for print publications like magazines or books.
In Internet writing, there are certain rules to follow, to ensure that the articles are well-written, and generate interest among web readers.

keyword abuse = keyword spamming. It means repetitive use of keywords that are not suppose to be repeated/used/included in a web page.

It's a fancy word, but it's actually really simple. Just don't over stuff your keywords, get it? Your sentences will usually not make too much sense if you do anyhow.

No. there is no any exact no. but there is approximate % for this and this is 2-8% what I know. And this 2-8 % is over total no. of indexable words within a web page.

Inappropriate use of KW on paragraphs or sentences. Inserting KW that leads to the misinterpretation of a sentence is one example of KW abuse. The % of KW density is just right but the ideas in the sentences are messed up due to KW abuse.

“Keyword spamming” was a technique involving adding keywords - related or unrelated, didn’t matter, you just had to get the attention of the search engines - hidden into your code instead of content. Oh, you could have content, but this method ensured search engines grabbing up all these extra keywords would help you gain search engine page rank. Thus your site would move to the top of search results by using a variety and the most popular keywords. The additional keywords were hidden with CSS or comments so they wouldn’t be visible on the page but they would be visible to the search engines.
