No this doesn't mean ban too, just bad neibourhood, it is possible drop in PR on next update or loose SERP for keyword used in anchor text

Come on, you canīt be penalised for being linked from a site that has been penalised. Otherwise itīd be very easy to get rid of competitors. An inbound link can just be neutral or positive, as you canīt control where you are linked from. Another matter is if you link back.

If you are joining penalized forum do you think it is worthy? What do you think? How come Google penalized it? It only means that the forum is not worthy....so why waste your time joining there....
