Amazon Spider
anyone know what the amazon spider is for. I have had two different bots scan my site both belonging to amazon (72.44.45.113) it has followed one of my sig links in a diff forum.

Does / Is amazon making a search engine or could this be related to alexa.

I am not sure I haven't heard of amazon actually having their own spider. They usually use alexa spiders for their needs. Maybe this is a new spider they are trying out for their affiliate service. Are you using it? If so then I am probably right.

I dont know but the spider has been to my site every day for last week. It only crawls specific pages (Pages with the word forum in the title, even thou i dont have an auctual forum).

Every visit it has a different IP address, and it runs the scans around the same time.

I believe it is for this search engine

http://www.a9.com/

as I am listed in it, but to be honest I have no idea.
