is anyone using compete.com to track their sites

just played with their competitor checker, is cool, had to install the plug in so it registers my site.

I've tried that tool but it generalize site but not the exact site, I've try different blog site's but the tool only check blogger.com not the specific blog.,

Its a very nice site. Although data is not that accurate, but it gives a rough estimate of how your business is doing compared to your competitors.

I think the plugin was causing problems with my FF. When I would open new tabs FF would freeze while I waited for the data to download even when I the page I was opening was blank.

I had to remove the plugin

Have it on firefox but still prefer Alexa (although both are quite inaccurate and webmaster-biased)

Both alexa and compete are inaccurate. I use them both though. They give a general traffic rank statistic. But what if the analyzed site is involved in traffic exchanges? The stats will not show the real value of the site anyway.

I think too and as of now there were no accurate tools to track sites.,

I have that tool installed in my PR using FF and it works fine but I did not use this.

Don't focus on that stuff... Focus on SERPs and traffic.....

They describe on approximate visitors only....

Yea its ok not bad tool, and quite honestly in marketing online thats your most important aspect is knowing your measurements for everything which I have learnt the hard way.

compete.com is as bad as Alexa, I mean completely off, so no need for that kind of "tool"

There just isnt a tool that can tell me, yet.

As you know ranks are different every day in SE, even if you've got an accurate tool, you will need to check each day your ranks
I check a few main keywords on my site, but not each day lol
