RewardsKingdom is correct. and it's look like a spamming. 24 is also too many cause we include maximum of only 5 keywords in each page but usually we include at least 2 keywords which is relevant on that particular page.

Too many keywords will not let your site listed in small search engines.

IMO, its okay, as long as you keywords are different from each other. Don't mention one keyword repetitively.

Mattaw,

Having too many keywords is not bad in nature, but in terms of SEO it's horrible. It's not to big G's interest to rank all keywords of any site top for a reason. Imagine if Yahoo ranks top for every keyword you researched?

There are those who said it is not, but the fact is it is. When I say a lot, I meant in the 100s or more.

It is search engine spamming on of the most probable ways you site being banned. So, it is better to use "white" optimization techniques instead of "black" one.

Google as well as some search engine did not tolerate keyword stuffing. It's really a bad idea and you be penalized for that.

I think keywords shouldn't exceed 6% else it would give an artificial effect, both to readers and bots.

Excessive keywords is "keyword stuffing" and might penalized your site. You need to have a 20 keywords to your main site.
