Not sure what I am doing wrong - please help!
Hi, I have been submitting my site to search engines and when I search my site I find directory listings from places like hot frog and the like but it doesn't show up my actual site. THe site is www.scrumptiousbeautyandliving.com and if I search scrumptious beauty and living I don't get my site but if I search scrumptiousbeautyandliving then I do - can someone tell me what I am doing wrong so that I can get my site in the right results. Thanks!

Your anchor text determines what your site will show up for. If your site is listed as scrumptiousbeautyandliving.com the search engines will recognize it as such, not as the words in the URL. If you link up your site with the text "scrumptious beauty and living" you will eventually find yourself in the serps for that term.
Other than that you need more links to your site. You have almost none. If you get more links, no matter what they are, you will rank for your title tag which has your phrase in it. Hope this helps.

Also, do not go to submit your site on search engines, just focus on submitting your site to major directories and building links and let the search engines to find and index your site.

You need to focus more on link building along with maintaining some good content at your site.

Qurratulain is correct but in additional you need also to optimize the site itself well. Try to create good content with relevant keywords,

yap link build using your target keyword "scrumptious beauty and living" as an anchor text instead of using the url itself as your anchor. You have to see also if that keyword has a huge volume of searches so at the time you have a good serp, it will definitely boost your organic traffic

"submitting to search engines is a waste of time"...don't bother doing this things...maybe you'd be asking why. The purpose of submitting to SEs is to get indexed to it right? As one of the features of SE, which is crawlers, it crawls sites then index them. So, simply put a content that is worth crawling for and there, your site will be indexed.
"scrumptious beauty and living" obviously is a proper keyword which is used by so many other site owners, your competitors of course. Then if you search "scrumptiousbeautyandliving" is considered a single word which is fortunately to be your site's domain name and its like your searching directly to your site when you input this term.
So if you want to have a nice rank in SERP with that keyword, better work up on it. just focus on that keyword phrase by anchoring it but do not overdo it 'cause it will result to stuffing of KW.

You have also a problem on your domain name. Basically, scrumptiousbeautyandliving is considered as one word and it's hard to remember especially in your visitors. It is better if you try to put a hyphen in every keyword on your domain just like this "scrumptious-beauty-and-living". You can use multiple keywords in your domain as long as it is separated by hyphen but the advisable number of keywords to be included in your domain is 4 words separeated by hyphen.

"scrumptiousbeautyandliving" and "scrumptious beauty and living" is way too far for a keyword to compare...obviously, the one with the space is a proper keyphrase to search while the other one is like a direct search of the site.

Submitting to search engines that would be a waste of time build quality links into your site and let the robots find your website.

beside the name being too long and hard to remember, your site seems to have more images than text.
submit to directories, optimise your site and have it ready when the SE comes upon it. Get a blog and write few articles related to your business, and have lots of patients.

I think you've done nothing wrong to your site, you just submit your site with that anchor text as is how you type it!

I think you should work with your Title tag to make your site more search able. Because "scrumptious beauty and living" will show different result if your site scrumptiousbeautyandliving.com is not well promoted for these keywords.
