Redirecting site.

I have this old domain, that I no longer use, can I redirect it to my other site. will their be penalties for that? or it doesn't matter?

If the domain you use is some how related to your current site than you will receive no penalizations.

I have a bought the .co.uk of my site and .com I redirect my .co.uk to the .com will this cause me any penalties ? also I have
laptopspreston.co.uk/.com prestonlaptops.co.uk/ pointing at prestonlaptops.com
basically beacuse of the problem google has of not showing .co.uk's on a standard search ..

your site is not going to get any penalties... but usually it takes time to transfer all the backlinks and indexed pages...
