Also Get more deeplinks (links to internal pages).

Yeah, that'll all work, especially the internal links, but what about content? and page titles, keywords and description meta tags that reflect the keywords in your content?
These are the organic components that make good Web sites.

focus on 2 keywords and build additional internal links building on those 2 target keywords and you'll do fine.
That's what worked for me!

Yes, I think patience is a very important factor. Obviously deep links, internal links, etc. are all very important; but it is not going to happen overnight.

You can also use robots.txt for XML sitemaps auto discovery like explained here http://www.micro-sys.dk/blogs/2007/0...maps-protocol/
It will allow Google/MSN/Ask/Yahoo etc. do discover your XML sitemaps without submitting to them.

Wow, so much to learn!
What are internal links? I think I know what deep links are, but how do you get them? Do you just create more link combinations within your site?
Also, can one create a sitemap from scratch and if yes, how? Those sitemap generators aren't working for me and always give me errors...

http://sitemaps.org/protocol.php
Read protocol definition, or take a quick look at sample XML sitemap. You can write such using any usual text editor (if your site is small enough).

What errors are you getting? Tried contact their support? (I don't know what tools you have tried) What is your website?

Doing everything manually will be tedious, but if you have a small website perhaps doable

That's a helpful site, I think I understand. From what I learned, you just copy and paste the code and add on your pages between the <loc></loc> tags, correct?
