Does anybody know how to write a meta description?

Hey guyz I want to write a meta description for my home page but I dont know how to do that...I tried searching online too but was unable to understand. Can somebody please tell me how to write the meta description?

hmmm just follow the code then think of a sentence/ paragraph related to your site

In writing a meta description, its content should be a snippet of your site. Tell something about your site and be sure to use keywords that are relevant on your site...

This might help. In the description, I never use full sentences because that's just extra junk of propositions and adverbs that I don't need. I use phrases that are studded with important keywords.
