Changing from _ to -, does it still make significant ...

I think many people asked this in various forums already, but allow me to ask this question(again). Is changing from _ (underscore) to - (hyphen) in URL strings, does it still make significant difference in terms of SEO? I read some rumor that _ (underscore) being treated as a space, but I am not so sure. Somehow I think that - (hyphen) would better. Is it true?

I was pretty dismayed when I read that a month or so ago. Do you guys think Google is going to "fix" this? I mean they're pretty smart so why make a dumb distinction between - and _ ?

if they thought it would significantly improve relevancy then they would change, but odds are they do not...

I do not think it is something worth fretting over. make your new pages with - but I would probably not change the filepaths and links of my old pages

Always use dash instead of underscore.
