Choosing keywords for a new site

I plan to start an RPG site and I have to decide which key words to target. I looked at roleplaying, role-playing, and role playing. They all turn up slightly different search results although many of the same pages turn up for each search term. Which one do you think would be easiest to optimize for?

you may not want easiest to optimize for. you may want to go with best and then work hard to get it. the versions you do not optimize for you can throw in the keywords tags or on other pages.

you also may do better to focus on a more specific role playing game that you really like as there is probably a decent amount of competition by the vampires in that arena, and as we all know, vampires are evil

then again, google does not like evil stuff, so vampires might not be very competitive

No vampires in the top ten. Dungeons & Dragons was in the top ten for roleplaying game (roleplaying game is in the tile) and role-playing (role-playing is not in the tile).

I have used wordtracker in the past, but you should probable see what your competition optimizes for.
