I really don't consider Digg to be a solid Backlink, but I do agree it that it will cause servers to melt when you get the front page.

Places like Mistwong.com have been great places for back links.

Does anyone know if you post to ezinearticles, if they have nofollow on the sigs or if it counts as a backlink?

Social bookmarking is the easiest way of getting quality backlinks. I like and use this method frequently.
