No need for search engine submission. Search engines will find your site all by themselves without any site submission help from you, they find pages in your site as long as there are links to them and links to your site will enable search engine spiders to index your site.

The crawlers will pick your site up there is no reason to go submitting to search engines...

I still fromt his day have no clue why they even put that on there site because most generally it indexes every site if your site is not indexed in a month or so go ahead and submit it, but other then that there no need to submit it.

If you have made one SE submission that's all that is needed.
I don't worry about search engine or directory submission.

Create a website that is easy to use and "inviting" to the viewer.
Offer worthwhile content.
Navigation is important.

The visitor shouldn't be scratching his/her head wondering what they are doing on your site

I believe internal links help.
If I create separate sites that are related, I have them link to each other: what do others think about linking across one's own sites?
If the layout is good, the content is good, and the title is catchy other people will link to the sites.

You don't need to submit to SE at all. If you have links to your site from other websites Google bot will find you.

Submission in thousands web directories can hurt your site. The best way to promote a website is a quality backlinks, unique content.
Also, my experience tells me that deep links is a perfect way to promote a website.

what do you mean by that?...i beg to disagree with you..
and off-course it will hurt site if you submit it to the wrong category...am i right? and since directory site is one of the most effective way to gain backlinks so i guess nothing wrong if you submit your site in thousands of directory site..

For PR - Content should be a major factor. Work on it first and build quality backlinks from other high PR and authority sites relevant to your niche. Look for "dofollow" blogs with high PR and participate constructively.

For SERP - Focus on linkbuilding. Make sure your onpage factors (titles, descriptions, meta, etc.) are attuned with your offpage optimization (backlinks with your keywords as anchor texts).

Sniperhiga is right because you should not submit to directories always, you must choose directories...

There are good and bad directories...

Because there are some directories out there that are only crap....Some of it are penalized or banned. So choose directories wisely....

It's better to submit your site in a directory with PR already than to directory without PR yet.
