I believe you don't need to bother about where you sent article. You can maintain a worksheet by yourself putting thing like website url(where you submitted article), username, pass, email, date. This will make a track of things around and when you will submit more articles, you can use the same. some softwares are also there that can help you.

You can send same article to number of directories but try to change the anchor text for the links you submit with them. Do not submit more than one article in a week.
