Question On Page Vs Off Page SEO Changes

Hello All,

We are currently engaged in an SEO campaign and have noticed some of our competitors creating new pages on their website in order to get up the SEO ranks.

We are also aware that a few noticeable web design companies (no names mentioned) who are getting all their pieces lined up, both internally and externally, ready to push the Google Adword Button and start to compete head to head.

In order to keep ahead of the game we are wondering how much merit new content has as opposed to link building and other SEO factors.

Within the next few days we will have new content regards SEO bits and bobs and other wording that should help our rankings, the question is by how much?

Please let us know your views on the effectiveness of creating new content and thanks again for all your support.

Cool

Onpage Optimization will make SMALL changes in your ranking, but WILL NOT help your site make dramatic jumps in ranking. It is the OFFPAGE OPTIMIZATION factors that will get you high rankings.

I've written about this at my web mes-seomaster.com

Agreed. Fresh content (blog, news updates, etc) are relatively important, but off-page (link building) is king.

Maybe a regular update of content and continues link building is the best way.

If you have 1000 back links saying that "Flash Development SEO", and google would want to see this content present on your website for best rankings.

New/unique content can help you score higher rankings on search engines.

Yahoo favors the onpage factors (which would also include your content) more than Google.

This would defintely help your rankings
