Hi,

I want to create new web with flash intro. but I have read that html pages with TEXT get quick RANK & PR from Google. If its correct so what should I do for Flash site ??

Plz suggest me !

I think that the text just gives the spider more to index. If you're using the title tag correctly and building back links you shouldn't have a problem with a flash site. Why not create a site that combines both?

Flash is a great thing if you use it correctly. Use it for a purpose (example: flash communication server, ect.) just using it for eye candy will not achieve your goals.

Think about who you rule out - corporations that don't allow plugins or addons, including java (a great majority of people surf from work), 60+ % of people "never" have access to broadband in the US (this includes at work).

Looks should never conflict with function - What are the goals of your site (to sell something or gather leads?), then screw flashy - stick to your goals.

There are tricks to getting flash pages placed higher but "load time" is always of first priority.

Here's an example: Http://www.forextips.com gets 20 times the sales and leads this site does - http://www.markettraders.com . markettraders.com has 85% of the visitors leave before the page loads.

Looks should NEVER get in the way of function - I told the company I would not change forextips, told them to go build a pretty site if they wanted that - they hired a webmonkey and produced a useless eyecandy site that looks great but only people referred to it go there and of those 85% leave.....

I saw the webmonkey that produced that worthless piece of crap bragging about it on his website......lol

just like what pinkfluffybunny said.. consider your visitors/users. but if you really want to have flash on your site..maybe try to mix it with some text and not pure flash site..

A Flash intro will not harm if its totally a html website after that Flash intro.

You can make a small button/link called "Skip to HTML Version" if somebody don't want to see the whole intro.

I think it will not harm your site because you only applying flash as your intro there was a lot of gaming site's used that way, they used flash as they intro.,

Flash intro will not harm your site as long as it load easily...be careful not to make the visitors wait for so long because they will leave your site...

Proper naming of your flash file (named after keyword instead of "header")and flash tags (flash cs3) can get you an additional link in the serps.

Yeah I agree with other replies Flash intro will not harm.. BUT It will not help you to get any ranking..

I had same issue with 2 big clients.. They already have a great flash site. The solution we came up to add some text at the very bottom of the page which is not visible w/o scrolling down..The text still looks nice...

You know what the pages are clean and very SEO friendly like this..

I prefer this to having an full html site with tables and cells and scripts etc etc.......(I always use include file)

You can have two versions of your website a) Main homepage (HTML)

b) FLASH version for those who wish to see your site in flash

Search Engine are not able to crawl flash sites that's why they are avoided.

Use Flash only in header image only and then make whole site in text form that will work but never ever make total website in flash.Search engine will never index your website.

text alone can't give you good rankings even PR in Google...maybe you are referring to backlinks here...
