Link page url naming
I thought I had seen an example of this and now I can't find it. Can anyone point out an example of where Google counts a back link on a page that uses one the following names:
link.htm
link.html
links.htm
links.html

(for a site other than its self.)

huh?

google isn't going to blacklist a page for being named anything. You can name a page google-blows.html and it will still not blacklist it. Certain sites are blacklisted, and if you have millions of links on your link.html or whatever then it will devalue the links to the point where they are worthless, but this has nothing to do with the name

i agree, however some people think differently and someone even wrote an article about it. I'm looing for an example. I would like to see where link:www.yourdomain.com brings up a page that ends in one of those exact file names. I searched and couldn't find one, will search more later but I was requesting help.

i would just say use mysiteresources.htm or something like that.

it really is not all that hard to change. I don't really think its worth doing much research either. I would just change the filepath and not worry about it.

I don't have any files with that name. I just want an example to show people when they say Google doesn't count those pages for PR and backlinks.

I could find examples, but the problem is that I can also show you pr 6 inbound links pointing at my website which do not show up in backlink checks
