Well i think it can be quite accurate, for instance i ran V7N through & it got 8/10 which is one of the highest i have seen.

Factors taken into the score:

Links pointing to domain: 777682
Position at Google for first four words of title tag on target URL: 1
Age of Domain: 2176 days old
Links from domains with .edu or .gov TLDs: 39
Alexa Rank: 6133
Domain name visibility: 29600
Number of links according to Technorati: 2348
Number of search results for URL search at del.icio.us: 148
Listings in DMOZ: 2
Links in Wikipedia: 10
Google Pagerank of full URL and Domain: 6

Thanks for highlighting this tool. Can you explain something for me? The first item in the tool is Links pointing to full URL, and the tool shows 10,000+ for your site, but when I look at them they are include all internal links. From this I assume that internal links count. When I look at our site www.allmusicmethods.com the Links pointing to full URL number is 199. We have many more pages than that with links pointing back to our home page, so it appears that some or all internal links do not count. Any idea how the assessment of "links pointing" is made?

Thanks but I wasn't clear in my question. I see that it uses Yahoo but why does Yahoo only show some pages that internally link and not all/more?

Yahoo do show all links pointing to that page, is it a possibility your page is not indexed yet? Yahoo show nofollow links along with valid backlinks

My forum is 4.5 which is good for me dropping to a PR2 on this update. I need more time to change a few things around to get things better. (Too much family things going on right now)
