Keywords, discriptions etc

Hello all, i'm new to all this website stuff. I just want to ask a couple of stupid questions. Does the keyword tag need to be keywords that are relevent to the content on the page and what about the description. Please help me by telling me where I can possibly go to read information on this and more. Thanks so much in advance.

By the way is there a tool of some kind to evaluate the content on a page and give me suggestions.

Keywords always be most relevant to your webpage content wherever you use in title tag or keyword tag.

In description, you can add a summary about what is the page all about and you can add your keywords in it.

Just put your relevant keywords in the Description tag. Don't spam with just keywords. Make a useful sentence which can attract your visitors through search engines.

Keyword Tag is useless. Leave it.

The keywords tag must be relevant but today has no value for serp. The description is usefull and make unique description for every page.

Your keywords should be relevant to your site - choose the ones that best describes your content and niche

And as what Mit mentioned, don't stuff them with keywords.

Keywords And Descriptions

My site ranks well with the keywords that I think is important to my site but what I really need to know is, does each page need to have it's own keywords for the content within. I'm really new to this and I want to make it right and not to get penalized by search engines. I guess in my thinking is that if my index page is getting good results on the keywords for it that in order for me to get better exposure is that each page have its own keywords related to the content on the page itself. Which equals more pages with more keywords results in more traffic. Thanks for all the help.

Also does the keyword tag really matter or not
