Impact of Contextual Links

We have an ecommerce site selling music books and arrangements with PR3 and 80K pages. Our inbound links now are pretty weak. We get about 900 unique visitors daily of which about 600 come from Google non-paid and 70 from Yahoo non-paid. Most of our non-paid search traffic comes from 3- and 4- word keywords, since the shorter, higher-volume keywords are dominated by older, better linked/SEOd competitors.

I am considering purchasing contextual links from V7n and looking for thinking on the likely impact of 25 contextual links ($1000). We would link these to anchor text that is the higher-volume, shorter keywords that we don't rank well on today. I know there are a million variables here but would some of you seasoned SEOsters hazard a guess as to the impact on our non-paid search traffic as a result of adding these 25 links? Would you guess that the increase in search traffic is closest to 1%, 10% or 100%? Any better suggestions on what to do or how to estimate the value of the links?

Hi,

It would be really difficult to measure this by %. First you might want to carefully plan this to be sure that you don't raise any red flags by adding too many links at once. Try keeping it natural looking. As a rule of thumb you want to build not more than the 10% of your overall incoming links per month.

Also try finding bloggers in your niche and contact them directly. Don't user text link broker sites like TLA.

25 links is not likely to raise any red flags.

They might if they are all site-wide and will be added at the same time.

He very specifically asked about contextual links (links within content).

He did not ask about adding 25 sitewide links.

This is how search engines, specially Google, values backlinks these days:
2. quality better then quantity.
1. there is nothing better then links from relevant sites. since your site is on music, try to get links from music related sites.

These two points are basic for your link building knowledge So if you get 25 links from music related sites, YES it will increase your serp traffic.

I guess, getting contextual links from v7n will provide a better SERP, and if u get good rankings on Google then you must get a lot of traffic to your site. But this is clear that traffic will effective only if you will get good SERP.
