Question What does this mean???

Hi Guys,

The team and I were chatting to a couple of business women regards the seeming disappearance of their website.

In essence they cannot find their website, even when placing their actual name into Google.

The only time they can find themselves is if they actually put the www at the start and the .co.uk at the end.

Anything that they are advertised on shows up but NOT their website - this is weired.

They had an excellent rank before and now this, what does this mean and could it be the end for their website and as a result their online business???

We would be very interested to know, so answers on a postcard

This is a result of the website is not being copied into an www folder automatically. On a typical webhost you have the public_html root where the website is stored. A website stored in the public_html folder the address to access it is ex: google.com. But as you are creating the html folder it should be duplicated in the www folder automatically. The address to access a folder in the www folder would be. ex www.google.com

I hope this makes sense, but it's a host problem and chances are an easy fix is to copy the content of the public_html directory to the www folder.

Typical folder layout, you can access this via FTP access.

Hi,

It seems that their site is either penalized or banned from Google.
What do you mean by "Anything that they are advertised on shows up but NOT their website"?
So do their product page(s) show up or not?

Cheers,
Z-
