Tourist sites should have pictures. Lots of pictures. Lots and lots and lots of pictures. Put up a lot of pictures along with relevant, legitimately useful information, and the chances are you will get linked to, and your traffic will go up.

Update the blog regularly with the new content. submit the blog in blog directories and submit rss feeds. Ping the blog in technocrati and create links in social networking sites.

Yes, I agree, John is saying right, a travel site must have many attractive pics and sightseeing photos to get attraction from targeted visitors. If would increase your returning visitors ratio as well as provide a catchy layout to the site.

Travel site want much more efforts. As John already suggest you to include pictures of the place you wanna offer from your site. Second thing is to telling about the place through the articles with your reference can be effective in getting more visitors and then social bookmarking of that articles can give you more.

And porn links will not help you.

Changing from one domain to another will not work if you don't optimize your site and will not promote it. It is a big impact to a site if a proper use of SEO is applied to it.

Join tourist forums and post & contribute there...It can also help your build links...

Post your stories on Social Bookmarking site... It will boost your traffic...

Also submit your site to free directories and put your site in right category..
