Hello,

Its now time to work a little on seo for my new site. What do you think about services that submit your site to many search engin for you.

exemple: http://www.submitexpress.com/submit2500.html

If I could, I would prefer to do this for free. is there an easy way to do this at no cost without submiting my site to each search engin one by one.

your site can crawl and index even if you don't submit to search engine.. just a simple link building can help...

Agreed!

Although some of the smaller engines would also need you to submit your sites manually. their traffic are minimal but they add up as well.

You are talking about submitting to the directories. This submitting is useless and google find that you have many backlinks in short time and filter it...

Do it manually and make backlinks natural...

it's much better if you use your time in directory submission, SE will automatically crawl your site so no need to submit your site in SE..... try to ping your site or just do link building so It will crawl for just one day....

search engines can naturally indexed your site without submitting it. bots will crawl to them automatically depending on the performance you applied on your site. to be specific, your link building application...

No need for submitting your site to SE's...
Just focus on other things that would make your site do better rather than SE submissions...

I used to run a submission site. I think most of the well informed webmasters today realize that submissions really don't help any.

Submit to DMOZ.org. That is about all you need to physically submit to.

Then go about getting links from other sites. Google, in particular, but all the big engines, will find you and index you quicker this way. I believe they prefer this method of finding you ... PLUS you get votes for your site which you need to get ranked.

Win-Win situation.

I do agree with you that dmoz is a directory that is really worth submitting to. But in the context of generating traffic, you would also need to submit to other web directories as well. The more eposure your site have, the more likely you draw more traffic.
