I was just checking the total indexed pages for a site and have got this SORRY while clicking on the "next" button for the 10th page results.

Hi Mit,

The reason for the Google message could be down to you pressing F5 (refreshing) and subsequently clicking on either an Adword or a natural link in a repeated fashion. Google believes this to be a non human agent and as such temporally bars your IP address from their system. This usually lasts around 4 hours (sometimes longer) and all should then return to normal.

Hope this helps and if not then let me know what the reason was, as I am sure someone must know.

I have seen this before. I don't remember what I was doing but it also had a captcha with it. I believe I was researching relative keywords using the ~ method.

I've gotten this error forever when using:

site:http://sitename.com and then after trying to skip to a page above 10 for some reason.

I got that several times last week after someone on my network ran a bookmarking utility.

Google's response was temporary and the error ceased after a few hours.

i think that comes on sites giving serials and cracks as they usually contain mallware

i also experienced that, a LOT. Maybe because I'm almost always at an internet cafe.
