Reciprocal Links-clarifications
I wonder about basic honest old fashion link excange- doing it with a site that helps his and yours visitors, and with only a few of those ( no more then ten).
is it still valued? should i do it in a less direct way and if so then which?
keep in mind that we are talking of true value for users from both sites, and in account reciprocal links such as these should be regarded quite highly.
but maybe even the right thing is less valued in our late decadent seo days.

Of course it's valuable, even the little, smallest and tiny backlink can help you get few or more additional visitors, which depends on the link position of course. The old way is still the best, forget those automated email systems etc, you need to do it personally.

If you are refering to its value based purely on traffic generation and for your visitors benefit, then they are valuable - so long as you exchange links with relevant sites in your niche and keep them minimal.

"The old way is still the best"?
it seems like that would be reasonable, and yet, if I have more websites, is it better to do a three way link exchange(they are deal with same subject, and two of them can be equal to the biggest of them all)?
and beside that, where should I put the link and ask for the link back- in the homepage or in the link\other services section?

Reciprocal Link
Reciprocal Link works if you exchange link with theme related sites only.

Reciprocal linking helps as of today. Google only warned of excessive link exchange. Google don't tell us that it is bad to link exchange to somebody. Google detect those people doing link exchange to sites that are not related to them...

Reciprocal links has still value. It is only devalued if you exchange link to bad neighborhood.

Exchange links with the pages or links which generate high traffic for the website. From the visitors point of view it is easy to navigate more web links under one roof.

I use to do 400-500 reciprocal links for several of our sites per month. It is hard work and I think G likes to see them. This is why they favor old sites as they all have invested time in these. I also now work on content, added a blog to the site and back links as well.
Always do reciprocal links relevant, not more than 50 on a page, no porn or hate sites, english language. Sometimes you will find a site with a good page rank. We had several sites that rank well and others that were new and growing. Many will reciprocal link with all sites to get my two good sites and in return they had the same situation and we all benefited.
