I find it very difficult these days to get the keywords for your sites as the domain name as there are so many sites out there, you have to be creative when thinking of domain names do others agree?

I think its somewhat important, if you see the top 10 for any keyword usually about half those websites have the keyword in the url.

In my opinion, keyword in URL matters from SEO point of view but not much important 'cos everything depends on optimization.

Which one is easy to remember? Hyphen is being recognize by spiders.

Another reason to use hyphenated domain names is when two words joined together like in a domain name could imply or even state a different meaning or unintentional phrases.

The following is an example: <http://www.basketballshopping.com/>

www.basketballshopping.com could be read as basketball shopping or basketballs hopping, two completely different thoughts and contexts. Avoid confusing phrases altogether or use hyphens to separate the words.
YES! spider friendly...BUT is it user friendly?...for a normal users hyphenated

URL is really hard for them to remember..composed of 2 keywords(hyphenated

URL) is ok...but more than 3 is not good...

In my view and from my experience, it is helpful to have your targeted keywords in the URL in search engine rankings. I give 2/10 point for URL selection.

I go with sniper. It will help on new sites since SEs look after it. It has impact on rankings as of today. SEs still uses it as part of their algorithm...

Using your keyword as for url is important..as keyword rich url it is a factor in your search engine ranking specially for big G.. as long as you keep it relevant and unique..this's technique will be effective if there will be logical and orderly coherence between your site name and site content...or other page name plus the content of that page..And yes using hyphen in your keywords is the best way for dividing keywords that you want to include in your url..but don't abused it ..say for sample using too long rich keyword url..caused it will be penalized..

As long as you can avoid using hyphen avoid it because non hyphen url can be remembered easily by the visitor or searcher....so it is a great advantage...

Be more creative. Look on del.icio.us or ma.gnolia

Check this out: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=delicious or http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=magnolia+bookmark

Google can read everything... especially when backlink with anchor point there.

This is a very important factor. If You make a query to Google using any popular notion - in the TOP 10 You will see the websites that have this notion in their URLs. It's naturally, because many of search engines (and Google also) attach great importance to URLs.

very useful especially for less competent keywords. search engines, especially Google seems to like it when you have related keywords in content and the URL with the keywords to support it. Doesn't seem to work for competent keywords though. and you are lucky to find URL's still available for competent keywords anyway.
