Keyword in URL-
How important is that of having your keyword in your URL?
Or it doesn't matter at all?
Is it a small factor, average factor or big factor?

in my opinion.. there's a factor.. but not that much
in making a domain, much better that is related to the theme of the site, for it easy to memorize, and also regarding with SE, it has the nice factor coz SE love relavancy,, 20% on SERP you can get from putting KW on your domain.

Well as for my point of view, it plays an average factor because it really depends. Regardless of situations. Regardless of competition. And I think URLs must be easy to memorize.

Having keyword in your url can add impact in your serp ranking. You can add 3-4 keywords in your url separated by hyphen.

If someone is selling a URL with a keyword in it, and you think that you could make use of it then you should not miss it out.
But with a URL having a keyword in a domain that you are not very knowledgeable about, should be avoided.
Instead a unique name be targeted which should work better.

I don't think it is really advisable to do that. 3 to 4 keywords with a hyphen in URL wouldn't be that easy to type and memorize...
Just like what I have said, it really depends on the situation.

It is important factor for new websites. Many old websites have url like /bhnasdfcgjk46237846/dfgbak/47.php but they have domain age and domain trust which help them to bypass this SEO factor.

This has been discussed zillions of times already. Back in the 90s, having the keyword in the URL was very important and helpful, however things changed as we all know. Search engines started to semantically search for the right results with the LSI method, new-age SEOs are not just the old coders hiding and stuffing keywords in the site code, its a whole new science now.
Anyway, having the keyword in the domain still matters abit, but lets give it a "random" percent of how much it helps for the ranking, about 5%.

How hard? Hyphenated url is easy to remember than in a long url that composed of 3-4 keywords.
example:
given-choice-choose-brand.co.uk
and
givenchoicechoosebrand.co.uk
Which one is easy to remember? Hyphen is being recognize by spiders.
Another reason to use hyphenated domain names is when two words joined together like in a domain name could imply or even state a different meaning or unintentional phrases.
The following is an example: <http://www.basketballshopping.com/>
www.basketballshopping.com could be read as basketball shopping or basketballs hopping, two completely different thoughts and contexts. Avoid confusing phrases altogether or use hyphens to separate the words.
