More than one squidoo on first page of google?

I'm targeting a particular keyword and in the top 3 results I see that there is already a squidoo lens. Am I better off building a page on another social website such as Hubpages, or write a blog on Wordpress? Logically I would think that Google would not rank two similar Squidoo lenses on the first page.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Google loves SB (or social networking) sites. Squidoo is one of them. And as long as the lens is properly optimized surely even 2 or more pages can rank on Google.

yeah, it doesn't matter much where your site is, what matters is how seo optimized it is, both on page and off.

You could always try to take a ride on their secondary results for the existing lense.

Try posting a comment on their lens with your link in it. It might slip by.
