Paid Inclusion

For all of you SEO consultants, what paid inclusion programs is a MUST in your opinion? I'm a little curious now that Yahoo has changed the paid inclusion game a bit with Overture Site Match/Yahoo Paid-inclusion program.

Yahoo! is complete trash for most sites in my opinion.

There is no reason to pay for the meta search engines since they will list you anyway if you rank well elsewhere.

Usually it will take a decent amount of time to build up some links (to list well within the local cluster of sites) and clean a site up so I also usually wait out the Ask Jeeves / Teoma inclusion (though it is only $30 and $18 each additional if you can't afford to wait about a month and a half or so).

Paid Inclusion in Directories = good

Paid Inclusion in Search Engines = bad unless technical issues, rapidly rotating stock, need tracking, or need to get in there fast

I generally am fairly cheap and efficient though and many large marketers have no problems spending many thousands of dollars doing what I can do for a few hundred.

my weight loss blog only began 4 days ago or so and it is already listed in DMOZ and many other sites. it is already in Yahoo! Search and Google

Yeah, that right along my thoughts. One of my clients asked about it. I can get them ranke well without it although it may take a few extra weeks.

well, admitidly, 4 days has got to be close to some sort of record. it is my personal best. I wish I would have tracked it closer. It might have only been 1 or 2
