Keyword Spamming/Stuffing
Hello all!
I just got around to updating one of my sites. I went from zero SEO in the past, to a full-on effort.
I'd like some opinions on whether I've gone over the top: too many repeated key words on a page that might result in a Google or other SE penalty. You can view the site at http://www.technologybuyersadvocate.com
If I've overdone things, thoughts on optimizing keyword usage would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your thoughts.

i think you just did it fine IMHO... I suggest that you add more words on the Description because meta description is still relevant to SE's i think.

I would suggest that you could improve the description of:
Nuckles Law Firm . This content could be structured better.
You have missed out "," in the title, "Information Technology Procurement, Support, and Assistance".

Keywords should be in content (stories, news, articles, descriptions) and repeat themself in meta tags.
Remember, every word on your page is a keyword. Meta tags to point search engines which ones is important.

I agree and words before and after the targeted keywords (especially in anchor text) really matters...

Sometimes you can optimize your site for 1 keyword and find that it drive more traffic when people type other stuff.

In addition to increasing keyword density and related keywords, build backlinks with your keywords in the linked text.

I have my site optimized for 10 key words only: this was recommended by Web Site Grader (contrary to other sites like Xinu that encourage up to 30 key words).
Who am I to argue with WSG since my site is now #1 in the following categories (Google, Yahoo, & MSN):
Sacramento DJs
Sacramento DJ
DJ in Sacramento
DJs in Sacramento
{all of above with "CA", "California"}
Wedding DJs Sacramento
Sacramento Wedding DJs
{above with "CA" or "California"}
Sacramento Karaoke DJ
Northern California DJs
DJ MC in California
California DJ MC
DJ MC
Disc Jockey in Sacramento CA
Sacramento CA Disc Jockeys
In some of these cases, Google gives me BOTH the #1 listing in Non-Sponsored ("Google Maps") -AND- another organic listing in #5 thru #9.

^ Optimizing for longer tail keywords while having your main keywords in them are the nest option. This helps you rank for your main keywords and long tail versions as well. This looks good in the eyes of the SE's as the links would seem more natural.

Better keywords, better code, quality backlinks and well optimized content. Taking care of these gonna launch you to the skies. However, if you want your keywords to be natural, you have to know how the human brain thinks, the semantic connections between everything. Why you associate Billy Boy with Microsoft, why do you associate sprite with coca-cola, etc. Studying these, you will have even better results, the process is called Latent Semantic Optimization and it's related to optimizing your content for the new-era semantic search engines, like Google and Yahoo, well Yahoo actually copies from google, I've passed over an article.
