What about the comment tag <!-- ?
Hello!
Do the robots take the comments of this <!-- tag into account in any sort of way? and how?
How much weight do the code have compared to what the user sees?
Thanks in advance, sincerely,
Joanie

Whether or not SEs pick up on the words used, the comment tag is ripe for key word spamming, and other users may report a certain level of mis-use of it.
PS - I've got some friends out at Basel - are you anywhere near there?

Well as you probably know Switzerland is not so big, Basel is a less-than-2-hour drive
<edit>
Has anyone else some other/more explanations for me please?
</edit>

Some engines used to take account of the comment tag, and some people, including me, still put keywords in them. I treat is as one of those things that, because it's there, use it. Nobody knows for certain whether any of the engines account for it or not these days, so use it but don't overdo it.
Btw, I live in Yorkshire in England - is that anywhere near Basel?

Well maybe a 2-hour flight
BTW, if you're interested, I live in a small village near Neuchâtel. It's right in between Geneva and Basel.

As Switzerland is such a small country, a 2-hour drive is a very long trip for us.
Why don't you count me in the Swiss people and more precisely in Neuchâtel ones? Plus the language is not the same, I live in the French part of Switzerland and Basel is in the German part.
Anyways... as you like it...
Joanie

<OT>Switzerland is a lovely country Joanie, but it can be a bit frustrating at times for new visitors.
A few years back I arrived in Zurich on a Saturday evening only to find that my luggage had gone to Rio De Janerio. I had an important meeting in Frankfurt early Monday morning but no clothes to wear and no shops open on Sunday in Zurich. I solved the problem be staying in Frankfurt rather than Zurich just so I could buy clothes.
I never forget about Sunday Shopping rules in Switzerland now.</OT>

Hey Mel,
Well I know that, but here it's in the law that the stores shall not be opened on Sundays, except in the airports, they got the right to (you didn't know that I guess :wink: ).
Anyway, sorry that you're not staying here anymore. I hope you've seen our beautiful landscapes, there are some unique places where you can see very far away, the Alps...
Joanie
