What is the average amount of time/month you spend on keyword research?

Oh good question m42. I know that I don't spend enough time on them. I get kind of frustrated and then give up. I know, my bad.

Depends on the project. Sometimes I spend less than hour (to analyze some automated report of some tool), sometimes I spend days digging thesaurus and google.

Not all the times. I usually look for possible targeted keywords once I found out that my keywords are no longer competitive. I should focus on some other things like providing good contents to the site and other concerns.

I think 2 hours a day for me, we all know that finding keywords that are marketable and even better with a lesser competition is not that easy to find or create, a person must apply their skills in SEO and must think outside the box and one of the key is being resourceful!

Yeah, i have to agree with the poster above. It depends on the theme of the site that you'll going to analyze.

depends on the niche of the site that i'm trying to promote. If it's too competitive, it'll take a lot of time to look for a less competitive terms with good amount of searches but it won't take the rest of the day just by that.

Well, It takes me just a couple of days or so to search for keywords to use when optimizing a page, but it takes me a week on deciding which keywords to use. lol

for me, depends on the project. some projects require keyword research, other's doesn't matter. an hour a day would be ok.

I think all of the people taking part in forum discussions are doing this all the time but indirectly. Like when you search the web for finding websites, you quickly take a look at the keyterms leading to the sites being found online.
