Question PR0 listed #1 in google
How is it that a website with a PR of 0 can be listed #1 in google results? I don't even see any meta keywords for the site.

Is it only because of the domain name? powertoolreviews.net

Their site is content rich and of course the keywords u would expect to be used in a search perfectly match the domain

The .com being a parked page negates that choice to the search engines

Tons of content on that site. Do you know if that site hahad that much content since it started in 2004?

Also the content is focused.

It'll take some time to rank up near the top for that subject but it could be worth it long term due to the niche.

Even a PR0 can be #1 depending on the content and link building, but in this case like what you said a domain name contributed big to make it rank and as I see it the site have a good content it too.

Probably. It looks like all the content is a direct copy from amazon, even the pictures.

You want the honest truth.....

You'll be at the top mainly becuase of the following:
1. It's your domain name (which google considers that as relivant to your site)

2. Becuase that keyword will have barely any competitors of it as the traffic it will bring is nothing!!!

The keyword is not that competitive...
The domain name played a big factor in this case...
Keywords on domain name alone won't guarantee you top SERP rankings BUT it does have some impact...

Thats a good example for "PR got nothing to do with SERPs". Meta tags got very little or no value as per Google. The site may have quality backlinks for that ranking.

Meta keywords now a day useless for Google optimization, well you should not show keywords which you are targeting to your competitors.
Well PR does not have any 0.0001% relation with SERP;s.
I believe to get Higher SERP's though for my site i do have PR 5 and Higher SERP's,
That's successfull SEO.

That is a very typical scenario. A lower PR site can easily outrank a higher PR site in the SERP as PR has no direct influence on the SERP.
