I manage over 300 websites, and I'll say that on a whole 85% or more of traffic comes from Google, even when the website ranks for more competitive terms on Yahoo/MSN.

So, my answer would be.... Google, and let the chips fall where they may for Yahoo/MSN.

The most important search engine is Google and the second one is Yahoo and the third one is MSN (live search).
Google gives more traffic and ofcourse you need to give this more attention.

Google SEO

Google definitelly gives more traffic than any other search engines, but I assume your question was how to get focused on your optimization efforts. I think optimization has to be done anyway, and as far as I know optimization technics and promotions are pretty much the same for Google, Yahoo, MSN etc. Those are natural content building, keywords not be over stuffed, backlink building efforts, other promotional technics.

You don't know SE algorythms anyway, like no one beside insiders know it. So, I assume if you follow basic SEO and promotional instructions you will be good in Google, Yahoo and any other SEs. IMO

Have a great day,
Peter

Both applies same rules pretty much with some exceptions as per SERP ranking goes. Backlinks, content, title are few most important things for both SEs.

Google generally gives more traffic. Now you figure.

You can not expect this competition b/w Google and Yahoo.

Google is King of the Search Web, and Yahoo is nothing.

Well if you compare Google with Microsoft in Software Industry,

Than i must say Microsoft is the king of software development, and Google is Nothing.

Are you targeting locally or internationally? Try to focus on Google (which has more searchies); Then in MSN (I suggested MSN since in my experience, many Chinese use MSN).

Both are important. But most internet users uses Google. I heard that Yahoo takes time, you can do SEO on Yahoo first then wait while you do SEO for Google, it's your choice

There is no doubt that Google will be driving 90% or more of the traffic to your site. Danogo gets traffic from all over the world, and I am optimzed for Yahoo - using sitemaps and the Yahoo webmaster tools. Most pages are indexed by them but they are much, much slower than G. Our Google traffic just comepletly dwarfs Yahoo, ASK, MSN and Live.
