if you do article marketing you have automated services to submit them to hundreds of article sites. That's link building + content which I think is very cool stuff

Or create a video and submit to many sites.

Maybe the key is to submit content and get the word out as much as you can?

If you have the time to write a blog and update it twice a week that has information that people search for and is keyword rich, people will link to it."Just build it they will come."

If the same article is submitted to lots of sites, then Google won't count it multiple times as it's duplicate content. You need to write a lot of articles for this method to work well.

If you are not careful then SE's might think that you are just a spammer

One of my website is only one page, a sales page. But it has vbulletin backed end.

You may not believe me, but it's true. PR1.

I have tons of backlink which people can't see them when performing query link:domain in google.

But this website beat 900,000 competition in the 2 words keyword. It's ranked #5 in google (1st page), in msn in page 2, but no where in yahoo

What about writing one article and then waiting for the initial traffic. If it gets a good traffic let's say in the first 5 days, then keep it unique. If it doesn't get traffic, then post it on multiple sites. I think it's more about the incoming links than people finding it on search engines when it comes to submitting on different sites.

Both content and link building are important. What good are your backlinks if you don't have any good content to offer?

How is it beneficial to submit content outside of your site? Isn't that good only for the link back to your site? I know article submissions are great beasue they have a link back to my site, and if someone copies or picks it up, then i have multiple. BUt content-wise, how does it even affect me if it's not on my site?

Also .. Hi. I'm new here

Links and content both are important. Even after having a great and information rich website, you need links for rankings and even having thousands of links to a website that is poor in content might be useless.
