domain name redirection, or not?
I want to start a regional cars for sale site, but eventually want a national one too. So I'm not sure the best way to do the domain names.

Should I start the regional site on statecars.com and then when the regional site is ready redirect statecars.com to nationalcars.com/state/ ? Or should I start out the regional site on state.nationalcars.com or nationalcars.com/state?

Either one is fine, though in my person opinion the subdomain will work better to get indexed faster as others will say differently.

I would advise you to redirect statecars.com to nationalcars.com/state/ (use A-record type) and just desribe statecars.com in the robots.txt file.
