My proof came with my own site:


Last Friday-- I was #12 for "Sacramento Weddings" (alas, on page two of Google)

TODAY -- I'm #9 (page one, non sponsored) for the same short phrase "Sacramento Weddings"

amazing because the word "Weddings" is not on my site anywhere, not in the content, key words, or metas. (only 'wedding' in the singular, not plural)

The only explanation are the Anchor Texts that I've been putting in the links
