Inner page deindexed from google

So I checked my site on google this morning to find that one of my inner pages, which has been ranking between position 9 and 11 for years has been deindexed from google. I mean it's just vanished. When I use the site: command for that page, it does not show up in google. My pagerank is still there, I still have all my backlinks, and a few more because of recent legitimate link building (no black hat or anything shady). That particular page did experience some dancing earlier in the week. It went as high as 5, which it had never done before, only to fall back between 9 and 11 later in the day, and then jumped back up to 6 about an hour later and then back since last night. In fact, I actually did some onpage optimizing a few weeks ago that was done to get the page more spider-friendly. I know the drop must've happened sometime last night, and I'm wondering if it's the result of more dancing or was my page banned? Can google ban just one of your inner pages? Seems kind of weird because nothing happened with any of my other pages. Any insights would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually many weird things have been happening to some of my sites in Google lately. I've had some sites jumping from first SERP to no where in SERPs and back again to first SERP...

same problem here! 3months ago, my site is in the 1st SERPs too... but it suddenly crashed down to 8th or 9th SERPs. And its hard for me to bring it back to where it was before even though i do more effort on optimization...what seems to be the problem here?

I can't say for certain. My pages reappeared back in their spots this morning. I have no idea what's going on with Google. Even when you know you haven't done anything to get penalized, sometimes strange things just happen and we end up panicking. Oh well.

One of my sites lost some pages about four days ago. Last night they popped back up in a better position. These things happen, so continue building links and providing quality content. Your pages will be back soon.

Even though you still have your backlinks, and have you checked those sites that your linked with, if their rankings went down there is a chance that you are affected by them.
