Is there any seo value in submitting to Reddit?

Its a backlink. Not much of a SEO value other then traffic generation. Main reason is there are too many outgoing links on the same page--also not sure if they use DOFOLLOW or not.

They donīt use the nofollow tag, but I agree, itīs more for traffic generation, as normally your link wonīt be long in the front page and there wonīt be an internal link to your article (as the link to the "next" page DOES have a nofollow tag), so itīs quite likely that your backlink isnīt indexed by Google. However, Iīve checked and some users have their user page indexed, so in that case the links to the articles they posted are actually indexed. But most articles I checked arenīt indexed in Google.

I think that it can give a small SEO value on your posted article on Reddit (backlinks with your KWs) and like what they've mentioned earlier, the main thing about the submission is traffic generation

yup thats right, reddit may give you small amount of traffic but it surely can boost your SERP, having back links for your key phrases....

Yup, there is. I got traffics from Reddits, but not as many as Propeller brought to me.

Well it is not just about submitting your site to these social bookmarking sites. At least you should know how to play with it. Reddit could give you backlink and traffic as well with other SB sites.

You get a backlink and it can help index your site quicker if it is new.
The submit feature is annoying sometimes.
You may get the message "You are trying to submit too fast."
