What is Google Cache And How its Helpful in SEO?

Hi Guys,

When I see AW Stats for my website, this month I noticed Google Cache 1 ---- 11.

I don't know What is Google Cache And How its Helpful in SEO?

My website is 8 months old, I never seen Google Cache in my AW stats and this time I see it, why? What does this sudden change indicate?

Hope for some good replies with explanations.

Google Cashe? isn't that old versions that Google indexed? I suppose it's useful to see how sites used to be I guess for reverse engineering. Not too sure though

Google catche comes not from Google Search. When experienced webmasters want to check your site they visit your page and click Google Catche in Google Toolbar (Pagerank Button). They do it to see if this page indexed by Google, how long it is online, and if there is no cloacking.
After they see that Google has Catche version they click back to your site.
Your AwStat shows that someone saw your page from Google Catche.

Thanks for nice reply. Again I have a question, Why do they (experienced webmasters) check my website or any page of my website through page rank button -- what they want to see?

(I am a highly rated Website content provider under username webcont247365 on various outsourcing websites like GAF, GAC, SL and others and regularly place my bid on various projects those websites with a url of my company website.)

So What they look for when they check my website under Google Cache --- what they want to find this way?

- people who are interested to advertise
- people who want to get a link
- people who want to spam (to get a link / traffic)
- competitors
- SEO experts to see how webmaster promote site
- people who trust Google more than your site.
- web designers to see how Google index your site.

What they want to see:

- to see if you use cloacking and report it to Google (competitors)
- to see how fast Google crawl your site (competitors, SEO experts)
- to see if Google indexed your pages (people who want to get link, spam you, or advertise on your site)
- to see how Google indexed your page (webmasters who want's similar design, ideas, script)
- to see if you are not using fake Pagerank techniques (competitos, SEO experts, advertisers)

In addition to seeing if the page is even indexed, a lot of SEOs check the last crawl date through the cache: query to get an idea of the page's importance to Google.

I usually won't pursue a link on a page that was not crawled within the last 45 days.
