I have found an article saying that " feeds in the blogger may improve the site optimization."

It says that "By adding feeds from other site to a blog, will improve the SEO"

Is it true ?

Feeds could work for getting backlinks, if subscribers make it public. Problem is most subscribers would not do that.

But its a great way to stay connected with the users.

feeds is a good source of backlinks and it was part of link building technique.

It will, but I won't say in a major way. However it's vital in building your readers, contacts, e-mails which you may use for advertising later. Let me add also that they are a highly targeted customer if what you're advertising is your niche related as well.
