Interesting read. Does anyone think that is worth using the meta description tag for SERPs?

I just read through those articles again. I think the only page on my site that I don't care about having links juice is my privacy policy. I wonder if making that one page a no-follow link would have any impact?

making that page a nofollow means that that page will not "transfer" any juice to other page. However, it doesn't mean that links pointing to that page won't give it any juice.
I also feel the need to remind most of the people who posted in this thread to go read this thread, also started by Cricket, about Quality posting

Yes I know what no follow means, but just "no-following" one or two pages wouldn't make much difference on a large web site.

It might be worth testing though. If you decide to do so, please report back with your findings.

Personally i dont hold much weight for nofollow, the situations in which you would need it shouldnt really occur that often in my eyes.
what items did you not agree with in particular?

The first twenty I have seen and the majority utilized. I don't really agree with 26 I mean making your nav all no follow would cut down on the popularity of sub pages therefore reducing your possible landing pages with the search engines. Personally I think that every page should be valued just as much as the index and treated as such. I really like 27 and 28 though I feel these should not be done until you have the majority of SEO already accomplished for your site and you are just looking to gain a little extra edge. Very good read though thank you.

Use the no-follow with a log in page, but the rest of your pages should be do-follow. If you have a good site with quality content and good links then making a few pages no follow wouldn't matter much. Also make sure you use dashes- instead of underscores_ in your URL structure and all the words in the URL should be key words. For example: website-marketing.html would be a better link than: web_mark.html

Please do not respond to threads with comments like, "thanks for sharing". How does that help the community interact and learn from one another? C'mon folks. If you want to respond to this thread, make a specific comment about the articles. What helped you. What did you disagree with? Why?
Please read this thread carefully.

Update: Removing all the totally unnecessary responses from this thread.
