Site not showing up in google

Hi, this is my first post here, I hope it is in the right section. Onto my story or dilemma. I am helping a friend build a website, we bought the domains about 4 months ago, the .com and .co.uk version. Right now we have an "under construction" page. However my problem is that

1) when i type in the domain name e.g domainname. co .uk it doesnt appear in google.
2)when i type in the domain name itself e.g domain name it doesnt appear in google anymore, whereas in the past it would appear.
3)I have gone on to the google webmaster tools and under the .co.uk site there is an error "4XX error ?", however when i go onto the .com version there isnt an error, when infact they are both the same site. The .com should be redirecting to the .co.uk.
4)when i type into the browser the domain names the .co.uk version has no pagerank information available, while the .com version has a 0/10.

Can anyone help me figure out what is going on?

My advise to you is create a sitemap xml and also do not redirecting domains to one another.

For the "4XX error" http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/3671119.htm

Hope this helps.

Create .com and .co.uk on differnet hosting icp class address. It depends what you try to achieve.

Cause if you do it on the same hosting with the same class address google will see it as duplicate content sometimes.

Make one a business site and the other one value content that people can learn from.

Then link both site to each other.

The content drive visitors to the business site.

Just my idea what I do hope it helps.

pnrmthink I really do not know.

Google hates redirection and also link cloacking.

Pm your site url so I can see.

I cannot help you with not seeing your url.

Private message it for me please.

Here is the thing, Google doesn't penalize your site, rather they just re-rank your site into much better position. As i see it the .com version was treated by google more important than the .co.uk version.

Since the two sites were identical, Google will only choose 1 on them.

why don't you redirect the domains? You can also try to get the sites reindexed so that they could be found by google.

just follow the google webmaster tool, and create a site map for your website then your site indexed by google.....as per my knowledge....

& if you have time do some link build work for your website..

you need to submit your site to google first before it can be indexed.

You can submit it through Google Webmaster Tools

check whether google has not penalized your site or not existing in sandbox because these are some common reason your site not coming up in Google..

Just give it time, it will show up. Probably just a new site that hasn't been indexed yet.
