Excessive visits from same IP range.

Over the last three or four days, three of my sites have been getting repeated visits from the same IP range. (i.e. xx.xx.xx.00 – xx.xx.xx.99) Each site has gotten between 50 and 100 visits per day from this same person. They have been viewing between 10 and 33 pages with each visit using up a noteworthy amount of bandwidth.

Who-Is lookup only reveals the RIPE Network in another country. I assume that search engines would not come from a dynamic IP address.

Do you think this may be just an over active user or should I be concerned?

What you can do is trace the source of IP by seeing where the source is from. If it's from Africa or Asia, sad to say this...most likely it's a competitor trying to break down your server by overloading it.

A few days I wouldn't worry, but if it's like this constantly and it's hurting your bandwith you can just block the specific IP to prevent potential harm. It's really up to you, but it's great that you're monitoring your visitors...it's very important aspect of understanding your traffic.
