What you can do is trace the source of IP by seeing where the source is from. If it's from Africa or Asia, sad to say this...most likely it's a competitor trying to break down your server by overloading it.
A few days I wouldn't worry, but if it's like this constantly and it's hurting your bandwith you can just block the specific IP to prevent potential harm. It's really up to you, but it's great that you're monitoring your visitors...it's very important aspect of understanding your traffic.
