Regular data collection is for research, not contacting them
At least he openly stated he'll spam them (or send unsolicited mail)if they want the PDF file, so its not much of a problem any more.

To all my dear friends, the concept is quite simple.

We want to know whom is reading our material. There has been many hours & dollars spent compiling this report. Yes, our motive is to locate companies that see the value of advertisng on Internet Radio and spend some of their advertising dollars with us.

Many companies utilize this method before sending information.
