Make sure to write original articles for each article site...pain in the ass but that's the way she goes. I usually just stick with the top 5-10 article sites and submit a unique article.

I don't really see sites in the top SERPs have lots of article submissions going for them. So I doubt that these links are that good. (Well if your article page has low PR then the quality of that link probably ain't very good. Google is all about quality links.)

I'm at a loss...my competitors appear to do nothing in the way of article writing or helping out others and yet they remain top!

I think I'm just gonna plow on with content building and hope that google notices!

Yes, I take it as an important part of my seo strategy. Usually I separate the articles into two parts. Some are specially for search engine and some for my potencial customers. In those articles for search engine I will not add my company's information, all I leave is just backlinks, it's not for direct traffic, while those for customers will attract direct visitors by giving useful imformation..

Articles are just about obtaining PR juice, but driving traffic from niche related sites and readers of articles interested in your niche.

Yes they are useful. People out here on says its waste of time because they only know what other SEO officials are trying. We should consider our niche people. Just make sure that they are really coming on to articles and in today's time everyone of them who uses internet is coming to internet to research for one thing or the other.

It is here where they first meet with the article directories. So how can article submission waste of time?

Sending articles is not a waste of time if you do it right. just send your articles to top ranking article directories. be sure that your article have a rich content.

That's what i think we have to do when article marketing. Writing one will not bring in to much traffic at all. I have about 5 or 6 articles floating around online right now and 2 of them are ranked well for the keywords i have targeted in the article. Of course those 2 articles is promoting a site i do not own anymore so the current owner got a freebie from me on that one. lol

Right now i'm going to get back into article marketing for the rest of the year. This is something i do not do to often cause it takes me way to long to write one. (I hired someone already to write some. lol) There are some keywords i want to rank well for and hoping the articles helps me out on this over time. (The articles is for sites that i own)
